Homewise Dwelling Fire Policy Non-Renewals

On March 11, 2010 HomeWise Preferred Insurance Company announced the discontinuation of the Dwelling Fire program. HomeWise began non-renewing all the policies in this program with expiration dates on and after July 1, 2010. This non-renewal process will be completed through August 31, 2010 expiration dates.

We need to inform you of a necessary change to that process. On April 22, 2010 HomeWise Preferred will begin to issue mid-term cancellation notices which will be effective throughout the month of August. Notices will be sent to all policyholders with expiration dates of September 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011. Notices will be mailed to the insured, mortgagee, etc. These notices will be sent in accordance with Florida Statute 627.4133 and will provide 100+ days notice.

Formal notice of cancellation will be sent with the following reason:

The Company is no longer offering a Dwelling Fire program. Please contact your agent to arrange replacement coverage.
